Viking Lutheran Church
Viking Lutheran Church was built in 1903 by pioneer settlers in the Viking Community at the cost of $14,312.00 including furnishings. The church is a tribute to the master carpentry skills that built it, and is the most elaborate wood frame church in the state. It features twenty-two stained glass windows, one depicts Martin Luther. The church is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The grant allowed Viking Church to complete exterior scraping, priming and painting including the steeple. Viking Church has been in continuous use since it was constructed.
