Little Yellowstone Park
We will drive by this beautiful road side park. This site has long been an oasis for weary travelers and a place to spend quiet time for local residents. There is playground equipment, picnic shelters, RV facilities, primitive camp sites and best of all a hidden babbling brook in the midst of nature's surroundings that makes the park a great place to spend the day or night.

Preston Lutheran Church
The town of Preston originated as a rural post office established on June 14, 1895, by Charles J.O. Jacobson in his country store. Preston is an Old English name meaning "from the domain of the church". The Preston congregation was organized in 1881. The original church, built in 1898, burned down in 1953. By midsummer that same year, volunteers had reconstructed a shell and basement. Services were held in the basement until the new church building was completed in 1956.

Slattum Settler’s Log Cabin and House
Theodore P. Slattum was one of the largest landowners in Ransom County. He immigrated to Minnesota from Norway in 1870, and then moved here in 1879 building a dugout for temporary living quarters until the cabin could be built. Seven children were raised in the cabin with two children dying in early childhood. In 1938 the cabin was moved to the old fort site where it remained for over 55 years before its return to its present site.
